Frequently asked questions

Your project questions, answered.

A few answers to help you prepare your brief, understand the design process and plan delivery.

Design & concepts

Can you work from our floor plans?

Yes. Share room dimensions, floor plans or site photographs, together with your guest profile and theme ideas, so the project discussion can start from your actual space.

Can you develop a theme beyond the gallery?

Yes. The gallery is a starting point. We can explore a direction around your hotel brand, local culture, guest age groups and room layout, including castle, building-brick and science-fiction themes.

Are AI visuals construction-ready designs?

AI visuals help communicate a creative direction. Before production or installation, the project needs dimensioned layouts, furniture details, material specifications and coordination with actual site conditions.

What should we send for an initial discussion?

Share the project country and city, room count, floor plans or dimensions, site photos, preferred themes, budget range and target timeline. If some details are undecided, send what you have.

How do you work towards the approved design?

The concept is developed into layouts, furniture details and material specifications. Key finishes, samples and dimensions can be confirmed before production, with any changes documented. AI images are illustrative; final appearance depends on the approved specification and site conditions.

Can you develop a room from a reference image?

Yes. Select Custom from my image in the enquiry form and describe the room, or send the reference image on WhatsApp. We will use it to discuss the elements you like, then develop a proposal around your actual space, materials, budget and agreed scope. The website form does not upload files.

Furniture & materials

Can we choose our own materials?

Yes. Solid wood and client-specified materials can be considered. Material choices, finishes and samples are agreed as part of the project brief.

Can we order furniture without a full fit-out?

Furniture-only supply or a selected package of custom furniture and joinery can be discussed. Tell us which work your own team will handle so the scope and interfaces can be defined.

How are children’s safety and local requirements considered?

The brief should identify guest ages and destination requirements. Furniture stability, edges, access, materials and maintenance can then be reviewed in the detailed design. Required tests, documentation and compliance responsibilities must be agreed for the project.

Can we review materials or samples before production?

Let us know which finishes, materials or furniture details you need to review. Sample scope, cost, shipping and approval milestones can be agreed in the proposal.

Budget & delivery

What does one-stop delivery include?

The scope can cover design, loose and custom furniture, built-in joinery, interior fit-out, production, export logistics and installation. We agree responsibilities and deliverables for each project.

Do you support international projects?

ODIX is based in China and can coordinate export packing, international transport and overseas installation. The arrangement is discussed for your destination and project scope.

How is a project priced?

Projects are quoted individually, based on room count, dimensions, design scope, materials, transport and installation requirements. Send a brief so we can discuss the right next step.

How long does design and delivery take?

Timing depends on design complexity, approvals, room count, materials, production, destination and installation scope. Share your target opening date so a project-specific schedule can be prepared.

Can you work within our budget?

Share your budget range and priorities early. Theme complexity, material choices, custom features and project scope can then be discussed together, with essential elements prioritised and optional items identified in the proposal.

Does the quotation include freight, duties and installation?

These depend on the agreed scope and delivery arrangement. The proposal should identify furniture, packing, freight, duties or taxes, site works and installation separately, including who is responsible for each item.

Coordination & care

Can you upgrade rooms in an operating hotel?

Room upgrades can be discussed using existing plans and site photographs. Phasing, access, noise restrictions and hotel operations need to be coordinated before a schedule is agreed.

Can you work with our designer or local contractor?

Yes. Share your existing drawings and team responsibilities. Design interfaces, supply scope, site preparation, installation and approval milestones can be coordinated with your appointed team.

How are maintenance and after-sales arrangements handled?

Materials and access for routine cleaning can be considered during design. Care guidance, spare parts and after-sales responsibilities should be agreed in the project documents; coverage and response arrangements depend on the supplied items and destination.
